Arched Carport Kits

A curved roof that sheds rain and leaves, on a rust-free aluminium frame — the classic carport shape, as a self-assembly kit.

Palram Canopia Vitoria arched carport kit in aluminium and polycarbonate

An arched carport kit is a self-assembly car shelter with a curved polycarbonate roof on a powder-coated aluminium frame. The arch is more than a look: rain, leaves and debris roll off a curved roof rather than settling on it, and the shape adds rigidity to the structure. Palram Canopia arched kits carry a written 10-year frame guarantee and comply with UK snow and wind load requirements.

Why choose an arched roof over a flat one?

Choose an arched carport when you want the roof to look after itself and the structure to flatter the house. A curved roof sheds water and leaves naturally, so it stays cleaner with less attention than a flat roof, and the softer line sits well against both period and modern homes. The solar-grey polycarbonate used on classic arched models is 100% UV-protected, virtually unbreakable, and lets around 10% of light through — enough to keep the space beneath from feeling gloomy while still giving real shade.

A flat-roof kit remains the right choice where a crisp modern line matters more, or where the carport must tuck tightly beneath a window or eaves.

Which arched carport kits are available?

The range runs from the classic to the heavy-duty. The Vitoria is the traditional wall-friendly arched carport; the Arcadia is the heavy-duty freestanding option for exposed sites; and the Arizona cantilever models — single and double — carry the arched roof on posts along one side only, so there's nothing to open a car door into. Classic arched models offer an entry width from 2.8m with 2.1m of overhead clearance, integrated rain gutters, and galvanised-steel connectors joining the aluminium frame.

All are self-assembly — no special tools, two to four people depending on the kit — and can even be taken down and relocated if you move. Delivery is approximately 10 working days. Comparing against a wall-mounted style? See the lean-to carports page, or browse every carport kit side by side.

Arched carport questions, answered

Do arched carports cope with snow?

Yes. Every Palram Canopia arched model complies with snow and wind load requirements in all areas of the UK, and the curved roof helps snow slide off rather than sit. Each kit is supplied with a CE-approved declaration of performance.

What is a cantilever arched carport?

A carport whose roof is carried on posts along one side only, leaving the other side completely open. The Arizona single and double cantilever kits use this design — car doors, bikes and pushchairs never meet a leg, which makes tight parking much easier.

How dark is it under a solar-grey roof?

Pleasantly shaded rather than dark — the solar-grey polycarbonate transmits around 10% of light, so the car stays out of harsh sun but the space beneath doesn't feel like a cave.

Can I move an arched carport later?

Yes — because the kits bolt together rather than being built in place, they can be dismantled and re-anchored elsewhere. Anchoring hardware and footpads are included; you just need a solid, level surface at the new spot.

Is installation included?

No — arched carport kits are self-assembly, which keeps the price down. Two to four people can put one up without special tools, and our TechAssured support team is on hand throughout if you want guidance.
