What a concrete garage is, and what buying one involves
How they are built
A concrete garage is a sectional building. It is made from precast reinforced panels that bolt together on a level base, rather than being laid course by course on site. The panels are cast and cured in our Bradford factory before they reach you, which is why a standard prefab garage goes up in about half a day instead of over a fortnight, and why the weather has so little say in when your building arrives. Every one is installed by our own insured teams.
Sizes
Sizes run from a single garage through to a double, with extra-height options for vans, caravans and campervans. The apex range alone offers around fifty width and length combinations, so most plots are matched without compromise. If you are unsure, call us free on 0800 849 9036 and we will help you pin the size down before you order.
What is included
Every Nucrete price includes VAT, delivery and installation. There is no separate delivery charge and no fitting bill afterwards. Options across the ranges include personnel doors, extra windows, guttering, PVCu fascias, real brick fronts and door automation.
Your base
A level concrete base is required, and we can lay it for you. It is priced after a free virtual survey, and ordering the base and the building together usually works out cheaper than arranging them separately. Base work is always an earlier, separate visit: the concrete has to be finished and cured for at least a week before your installation date, so the two jobs are never done on the same day.
Planning permission
Prefab garages under 30 square metres can usually be put up under permitted development rights, so most need no planning consent at all. Listed buildings and conservation areas are the exceptions. We will tell you where you stand before you order rather than after.
Installation and the guarantee
Most standard garages are installed in half a day. Because every building is manufactured in advance in Bradford, the time spent on your property is short and tidy. The structure is covered by our 10-year factory guarantee.
Choosing a concrete garage, answered
Which concrete garage style should I choose?
Start with the roof and the plot. Apex (pitched) is our best-seller and gives eaves storage; pent (single slope) is the most economical; lean-to uses the wall beside your house; doubles take two cars; extra-height suits vans and caravans; and the Elite spec adds a real brick front and uPVC finishes to any style. If you're unsure, call us free on 0800 849 9036 and we'll match a building to your space.
How much do concrete garages cost?
The typical price across our last 100 quotes was £6,175 including VAT, delivery and installation. Smaller sheds and pent-roof garages come in below that and large Elite doubles well above it — the exact figure depends on the size and specification you choose and your delivery area.
Do prices include delivery and installation?
Yes, always. Every Nucrete price includes VAT, delivery and installation by our own fully insured teams. The only thing you need in place first is a level concrete base, which we can also lay for you.
How quickly can my garage be installed?
Most standard garages are installed in half a day. Every building is manufactured in advance in our Bradford factory, so the time on your property is short and tidy.
