A Nucrete brick garage is a steel-framed garage with fully insulated walls and roof, clad externally in your choice of brick or maintenance-free composite, with an insulated sectional door, for 50–66% less than a typical builder's quote. You get the look, warmth and permanence of a brick garage, made to your size and finished in the brick of your choice.

Traditional building costs run to £1,500–£2,000 per square metre, which puts a 6m × 4m brick garage in the region of £36,000 from a general builder. Our brick garage range exists to fix that. It's a brick-clad or composite-finished building that satisfies UK building regulations for garden outbuildings, designed so that in most cases no planning permission is needed under the government's permitted development scheme, and built far more efficiently than a one-off builder's job.

Expect to pay between 50% and 66% less than a typical builder's quote for the same garage. As a rough illustration, a garage a builder would price at £27,000 could come in at around £9,000 (figures for illustration only), because every brick garage is priced individually to the customer's exact size and specification.

The saving comes from specialisation. We build garden buildings all day, every day, so the insulated, brick-finished panels and the roof are prefabricated in the factory before they ever reach your garden, which cuts days of on-site labour from the job.

A brick garage is built around a steel frame that carries fully insulated wall and roof panels, finished externally in your choice of brick or maintenance-free composite cladding. Because so much is prefabricated in the factory, the on-site build is far quicker and cleaner than a traditional brick garage, with no weeks of bricklaying on your drive.

• The base. Every brick garage sits on a level concrete base, which forms the floor and the foundation in one. We can lay it for you as part of the project.

• The building. The insulated, brick-finished structure is erected by our own teams, complete with uPVC fascias and gutters, an insulated sectional door, and any window or personnel-door options you choose.

A concrete garage is a fraction of the price of even our brick range, and it's the right answer for most people. A brick garage is the answer when the budget stretches and the building has to look like part of the house. It's also more adaptable later: the walls and roof are already insulated, so you can add electrics and internal finishes to turn it into a garden room or workshop.
